What we collect
The whole list. It's short.
This is everything that reaches us when you use this website or write to us.
A demo request
The clinic's name, your name, your email address and how many therapists you have. If you add them: a phone number, the software you use now, and the best times to call.
An email to us
Your address, what you write, and anything you choose to attach.
A visit to the site
Our web server logs each request, as web servers do: the IP address it came from, the page asked for, the page you came from, the time, and the description your browser gives of itself.
Visit counts
Plausible Analytics counts the pages you read, the site you came from, your country and your type of device and browser, and a few things you do here: opening or sending the demo form, the settings you leave the pricing calculator on, and which system you compare us with. It uses no cookies. Your IP address is only used, scrambled, to tell one visit from another for a day, and is never stored.
No cookies, nothing that follows you
The site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or session-recording tools. Its pages and fonts come from our own server; only the visit counter comes from Plausible. Nothing on it follows you anywhere else.
No accounts
There is nothing to sign up for or log in to here. The demo form is the only place the site asks you for anything.
02
What it's for
Used to answer you, not to market to you.
Each thing on that list has one job.
Your demo
We use a demo request to reply, and to agree when and where we meet: on a video call, or at your clinic.
Your email
What you write to us is used to answer you, and to keep track of the conversation.
The server and visit counts
Access logs are for finding faults and fending off attacks on the server. Visit counts tell us which pages get read and that the demo form works. Neither is used to profile anyone.
No mailing list. You won't be added to a newsletter or a sales sequence. If you'd rather not hear from us again, say so in one email and we stop.
03
Sharing
Not sold, not rented, not traded.
Your details stay with the people at Morning Room who arrange and run demos. Outside the company, this is everyone else involved, and how far.
Our hosting
The website runs on Amazon Web Services. Its pages and access logs are kept in Sydney, Australia, and the pages reach you from Amazon's location nearest you. A demo request passes through Amazon in Sydney, which keeps none of it, on its way to our mailbox. Amazon does this for us and uses none of it itself.
Our email and video calls
Our mailboxes are hosted by Google Workspace, and our demo calls run on its Google Meet. Google keeps what you write to us and carries our calls on our behalf, and doesn't use either for anything of its own.
Visit counts
Plausible Analytics, an EU company with servers in the EU, keeps the counts for us. It holds totals, not people, and sells nothing.
When the law requires it
If we're legally required to hand information over, by a court order for example, we hand over what's required and nothing more.
04
How long
Kept while it's useful, then deleted.
Nothing here is kept for its own sake.
Demo requests and emails
Kept for 12 months after our last conversation, then deleted. If your clinic becomes a customer, what you've told us carries over to your account.
Visit counts
Plausible keeps the totals while we use it. Nothing in them identifies a visitor.
Access logs
Kept for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
05
Your rights
Ask what we hold. We'll show you.
You don't need a reason to ask, or any particular words.
See it
Ask whether we hold information about you, and we'll tell you what it is and give you a copy.
Correct it
If something's wrong, tell us and we'll fix it. If we don't agree that it's wrong, we'll keep your correction alongside it.
Delete it
Ask us to delete it and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
How to ask
Email privacy@morningroom.nz. Our privacy officer will answer within 20 working days, the limit the Privacy Act sets.
Not happy with how we've handled it? You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
06
Clinic clients
If your clinic uses Morning Room.
Clinics run their bookings, messages and payments on Morning Room, usually under their own name, so you may never see ours.
Your clinic is responsible
The clinic decides what it records about you and why, and answers for it under the Privacy Act. We hold that information on the clinic's behalf, as its service provider, and don't use it for anything of our own.
Ask your clinic
To see or correct your information, or to ask about it, contact the clinic. If they need our help to answer you, they'll get it.
How it's protected
What the system stores, who can see it and which other services touch it are set out in full on Security & your data.
If we change how we handle anyone's information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
